About

OpenbahI joined the Marines in January of 2006 and was a candidate at Officer Candidates School in Quantico, VA (OCC 191, Charlie Co., 4th Plt.). On March 1st, 2006 I broke my hip during a training exercise and was rushed into surgery at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. I spent the next 4 days in the hospital, 7 months on crutches, and 1.5 months using a cane to walk.

7 months later I had the hardware removed from my leg and spent another 6 weeks on crutches.

In October 2007 I found out I had AVN in my hip, and underwent a FVFG in March of 2008. I spent the next 7 days in the hospital, 6 months on crutches, and am still using a cane to walk. I am living back home in Boston, MA.

I used to work as a freelance TV/film Production Assistant in Boston. I also volunteered weekly at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans. I am now a part-time student and run a small content management system company.
