You should try to get your run time under 20 minutes. 21 Minutes will probably be the Slow group at OCS. Injury is the number one fear. The rest you either have or don't.

Not much you can do about injury except be in shape. Take your own supply of Vitamin M (Motrin). Report your injuries to Medical if you get any, but be prepared to just take the Vitamin M ans suck it up.

Start running in boots if you haven't yet. The trails at OCS can be hard on ankles. You need to be in shape and use to it so that you aren't sucking wind and you have the wherewithall to pay attention and not trip.

Good Luck and

There's a greater danger in over-training, as Randy said. If you can run three miles between 18-21 minutes, you should be fine. Build up distance first, then ease of the distance while you build up intensity, and then recombine - but no two consecutive days of speed work and give your body one day a week to heal.

Good luck!

Only thing I can say man is don't train so hard when you end up breaking yourself. Just do the proper stretching and you should be good. Good luck to ya!
