There is still no official word on my selection status, but the Marines are sending me down to Pensacola, FL on Sunday for a 4-day flight physical. I leave Sunday morning and will arrive in Pensacola at 3PM. I’m not sure where I’ll be staying for the 3 nights. They haven’t told me where they’re putting us up. I heard a rumor that we stay in the BOQ (Bachelor Officers Quarters) and eat in the mess hall. This is sure to be an experience. I return to Boston 12:15AM Thursday morning, hopefully with very good news about my physical.

Unofficially pre-selected for 191
I received a call from my OSO last week. I immediately could tell something was up from the tone of his voice. He sounded happy to talk to me, unlike last time. He told me that though it was at this point unofficial, I had been pre-selected for OCC Class 191, and that I’d been given a pilot slot. We just have to wait for a General to sign off on it and I’m good to go. OCC 191 begins January 22, 2006 and runs through March 31, 2006.
