Had my monthly meeting with the ortho doctor two days ago. He said my femur is healing better and that there has been some progress, but the bone is not healed yet. He said another surgery isn’t likely, but still possible. He also said that there has been no slippage in the joint, and that the head of the femur looks healthy, so osteonecrosis is unlikely. Unfortunately, I’m still on crutches for at least the next 6 weeks until I meet with him again.

Sorry to hear you’re not healing as fast as expected, that’s frustrating. I hope that it starts taking, and you heal-well. You have youth on your side, so I’m sure with your determination you’ll be back.
