I was discharged from Bethesda at 1030 yesterday but didn’t get out of the pharmacy until 1230. Even though they prescribed 2 weeks worth of percocet, they could only give me 45 pills. I wasn’t about to leave with only a few days worth of meds, so we waited until things were sorted out upstairs and I got my pills.
The 9 hour car ride back to Boston might have been the most painful 9 hours in my life. We pulled up at 2130 and were met by Jess and Bill, who came over to help get my things inside and get me situated for the night.
This morning Adrienne made pancakes and I opened 2 months of mail on couch. Jess and Bill will probably be back today, and I think Laura is going to stop by to visit.

you got the good stuff. just don’t get hooked on it.
Hello Michael,
You don’t know me, but my brother is at OCS right now, Candidate Turner. His girlfreind just sent me the link to your site and I just wanted to write and say I am very sorry for this loss. I don’t know if you are religious, but if you are, take comfort from the fact that it is all in God’s plan. If this isn’t the thing for you, thats only because God has something better planned. Your recovery will be in my prayers. As someone who knows what he is going through, please keep my brother in yours.
God Bless you,
Annie
Mike,
I am stunned and so sorry to read about this. I can’t imagine what you must be feeling, but hopefully the perkos will help with the physical pain. I am sure you are being taken great care of back at home. I know that you’ll be back on your feet soon. I’m thinking of you and missing you. Take care..
Take care buddy
